Bringing the spirit of the forest into every learning space
Nature play, simplified.
At Curious Roots Collective we create soulful, science-backed outdoor learning guides for teachers, parents, and caregivers - no Forest School training required.
Each pack gives you everything you need: games, stories, songs, and reflection prompts that help children (ages 3–7) build focus, joy, and resilience through play in nature.
Whether you have five minutes in the garden or a full day outdoors, you’ll have ideas ready to go.
We know time is precious, so each resource is designed to fit around real life: a five-minute mindful moment, a quick outdoor challenge, or a whole day of nature-based exploration - it’s entirely up to you. Whether in the forest, the classroom, or the living room, each Curious Roots activity helps children reconnect with themselves and the living world around them.
Our mission is to make mindful, inclusive learning easy to access and effortless to use - so every child, of every ability, can grow resilience and wonder, wherever they learn and explore.

About Us
We’re here to help children grow deeper roots and brighter wings - one mindful moment at a time.
Hi, I'm Sonia and my son Freddie is the joyful soul who inspired this whole idea. This idea grew from watching him, find calm, strength, and a deeper sense of connection through Forest School, as well as support his special and unique needs while smashing all the Cerebral Palsy stereotypes.
For him, it wasn’t about “coming alive” - he’s always been full of life - it was about learning to slow down, explore with respect, and build a relationship with nature that strengthened both his body and mind.
Outside, he could work on his gross and fine motor skills in ways a traditional classroom couldn’t offer - while also benefiting from the immune and emotional support nature provides.
With my background in adult learning and development, I could see how the same reflective principles that help adults grow could nurture children, too - through rhythm, sensory play, and curiosity.
